A place to share feelings, receive resources, feel less alone with the diagnosis, and connect with your innate resilience
This is a support group, not a therapy group (but will include space to share feelings and to express emotions) led by a licensed mental health counselor
Fee of $665 for the support group (whether you attend most or all 7 group meetings), includes many resources that will be available to all participants who sign up
Led by a 57-year old psychotherapist who specializes in supporting folks with Mild Cognitive Impairment and Dementia
A brief screening call is required to assess fit
Click on the CONTACT page at the top of this website to express interest in registering or to ask questions
Payment due upon registration (by September 4), via credit card through my HIPAA compliant platform (after our 15-20 minute phone conversation, if you and I both decide the group is the right for you, at this time)
My training and experience include completing a course in: Therapy for Dementia Disorders from the Center for Mental Health & Aging and many years of supporting folks with MCI and dementia (since 2013)
The group container will be held so each person has room to share (being mindful of time) and group members will be asked to practice active listening (no cross talk nor unsolicited advice giving)
Each of the 7 group meetings will include a topic and resources will be offered
